True Core Restoration crew serving San Diego County
Our Story

Built On Trust

Restoration is a business people enter on the worst day of their year. That is exactly why the documentation, the certifications, and the straight answers matter more here than in almost any trade.

IICRC CERTIFIED · 24/7 RESPONSE · MITIGATION + REBUILD UNDER ONE CONTRACT

The Mission

Nobody calls us on a good day.

Nobody calls us on a good day. By the time someone dials a restoration company, something has already gone wrong: a supply line let go overnight, the fire department just cleared, a wall came open and there was black growth behind it. People are stressed, they are dealing with an insurance carrier for the first time in years, and they are being asked to make expensive decisions about a building they suddenly do not understand. True Core was built around that reality rather than around a sales script.

The handoff is part of the work. Most mitigation companies dry a structure, email an invoice, and vanish, leaving your contractor to guess what is behind the wall they are about to close. We treat the handoff as a deliverable: your general contractor receives the daily moisture logs, the psychrometric record, the photo documentation, and a written scope of exactly what was removed and why. If you need contractor names we will give you several, and we take nothing if you hire one of them.

The tagline is the standard. Built on trust is not a slogan we picked because it sounded good on a truck. In this industry the customer almost never has the expertise to verify the work. You cannot tell by looking whether the framing behind your new drywall was at 12 percent moisture or 25 percent when it got closed in. That information asymmetry is why the industry has the reputation it has, and it is why we hand you the moisture logs, use an independent lab for mold samples, and bring in a third party to clear our own remediation work.

We do mitigation, and only mitigation. We are the emergency crew: we stop the damage, remove what cannot be saved, dry the structure to a documented standard, and hand off. We do not sell you the reconstruction afterward, and that is deliberate. A company that profits from the rebuild has a quiet incentive to take out more of your house than the standard requires, because every extra square foot of demo is revenue on the back end. We do not have that incentive, so the removal scope is driven by moisture readings rather than by what it sets up.

San Diego breaks in specific ways. Coastal humidity from Point Loma through Oceanside means anything that gets wet dries slowly and grows fast, and opening the windows to help usually makes it worse. Older stock in North Park and west Chula Vista still has galvanized supply and cast iron drains at end of life. East County and inland North County run hot enough that attic condensate lines and water heaters fail on a summer schedule, and carry real wildfire smoke exposure. We work all of it every day, so we know what we are walking into before we arrive.

Our Values

Standards That Don't Slip

Five commitments that show up on every job, every estimate, and every closeout file we hand over.

24/7 Emergency Response, 60-Minute Arrival

Water does not wait for business hours. Call at 2am with a burst supply line and a real person picks up, not an answering service that promises a callback. Trucks stage across the county, so most San Diego addresses get a crew on site inside 60 minutes with extraction equipment already loaded.

IICRC-Certified Technicians On Every Job

Water restoration, applied structural drying, and mold remediation all have written IICRC standards. Our techs are certified to them and we work to them, not to whatever gets the truck back to the yard fastest. That matters when an adjuster or a future buyer asks for proof.

We Bill Your Insurance Directly

We write estimates in Xactimate, the same platform your carrier prices from, and we bill them directly. You pay your deductible, not the whole invoice up front. We handle the adjuster calls, the supplements, and the paperwork so you are not chasing anyone between work meetings.

Documented Drying, Not Guesswork

Every job gets moisture readings logged daily, on every affected material, until the structure hits dry standard. You get the psychrometric log, the photos, and the equipment record. That file is what protects you if mold shows up in a year and someone asks who dried it.

Mitigation Only, So We Have No Reason To Over-Demo

We do not sell reconstruction. That matters more than it sounds: a company that profits from the rebuild has a quiet incentive to remove more of your house than the standard requires. We do not have that incentive. We take out what has to come out to make the structure dry and safe, and nothing beyond it.

The Team

The People Behind The Phone

Joshua, Owner & Lead Project Manager

Joshua runs True Core and stays on the projects personally. He is the point of contact from the first emergency assessment through the final moisture reading, and he is the person who answers when something on your job changes. On a loss where you are already dealing with an adjuster and a contractor, having one number that reaches the person actually accountable is worth more than it sounds.

IICRC-Certified Field Crews

Water damage restoration, applied structural drying, mold remediation, and fire and smoke restoration each have written IICRC standards, and our technicians carry the certifications for the work they perform. That certification is what stands behind the documentation you receive at closeout.
